OUUEG CHRISTMAS RED SEA DIVE TRIP
14th - 21st December 2007
Where are we going? |
We're flying from Gatwick to Dahab, which is in Egypt. It's pretty good, so I'm told. Diving will be shore based (ideal for those who don't like spending the entire day on boats). It'll be great fun, good and warm, with lots of colourful fish. Accommodation will be at the Bedouin Moon and the diving operator will be Reef 2000. You get to travel by 4x4 from the Dive Centre to the sea (quick and easy!) and while most diving is fairly gentle, for any depth-junkies, there're some world-class technical diving sites around there (Blue Hole etc.). We're travelling with Tony Backhurst, the foremost Dving Holiday Operator in the UK. These guys take their trips seriously, and have won Best Operator in "Dive" magazine for the last thousand years or so (an exaggeration, perhaps, but it has certainly been a while!). Additional Information from Tony Backhurst Scuba Travel |
How much will it cost? |
The total cost, including flights, accommodation, resort transfers and five days’ diving is only £485. This is based on current flight availability so may change if you wait before booking. Kit hire except for tanks and lead is extra but can be organized through OUUEG. |
How do I sign up? |
1. Send confirmatory eMail to Luke Sanders 2. Send a cheque for £200 payable to “Tony Backhurst Scuba Travel” to Alex Lewis at the Department of Pharmacology (Pigeon Post is fine) to confirm your place. This is a non-refundable deposit. 3. The balance will be payable around the middle of October. |
How do I find out more? |
• Have a look at Alex's Australian Great Barrier Reef Slides for examples of tropical warm water diving, similar to diving the Red Sea |
