Event Details | OUUEG AGM |
The Club Annual General meeting is a formal requirement of the Club Constitution, and although a formal occasion, it is important to the Club, as this is the opportunity for all Club Members to hear the Committee reports on all the Club's activities for the previous year, to accept the Minutes of last year's AGM, and probably most importantly, to vote in next year's Committee. At present, only Huw Jenkins as Training Officer, and Luke Sanders, as Expeditions Officer have expressed their interest in remaining in their respective posts, if no other Members wish to take on these roles. All the other Committee posts remain to be filled. This is vitally important, as without a Committee there can be no Club. We therefore need nominations for the positions of President, Treasurer, and Secretary, all of which need to be filled by current University students. The other posts due for election are Diving Officer, Kit Officer, Boat Office, plus Assistant Training, Kit and Boat Officers. Jonathon Cole will return to sit on the Committee as Senior Member, and Neil Carter has offered to continue to take responsibility for the WebSite. All the current incumbents have agreed to provide thorough training and work in conjunction with the new Committee for the first few weeks and most will be around to advise throughout the year. Please think seriously about which positions you might be able to fill - things work much better if we have a complete Committee as the work load can then be spread. Similarly though, do remember you are making a commitment to carry out the relevant duties properly for a full year. For more info contact the current Officer. Then the fun bit - Lunch in the Pub afterwards. | |

The Boat Handling Course is a neccessary requirement before being able to take responsibility for driving the Clib Boat on OUUEG Dive Trips. Event Details | BSAC Diver Cox Course & Exam |
The BSAC Diver Coxswain course is equivalent to the RYA Level 2 Power Boat Certification, and is a key requiremnt towards the full BSAC Diver Rescue Award.
